ONLINE FORMS

Dr. Eric meeting with patientWhat to Expect at Your First Visit

  • A friendly hello and paperwork: We’ll confirm your details and have you complete any required forms. You can also fill them out online before your appointment.
  • A conversation about what’s been going on: Dr. Delorme will ask about your health history, what brought you in, and what you’d like to get back to doing more easily.
  • A careful assessment: This may include posture and movement checks, along with other clinical tests that fit your needs.
  • Clear explanations and a plan: We’ll talk through what we found in plain language, outline next steps, and explain what care may involve.
  • Care on the first visit, when it’s appropriate: In many cases, you may receive chiropractic care at your first appointment. If it’s not the right time to begin, we’ll explain why and what comes next.

Who Chiropractic Care Is For

Chiropractic care may be a good fit for people who want support with how their body moves and feels day to day. We often see individuals dealing with spinal or joint discomfort, tension linked to desk and screen time, activity-related strains, and general mobility concerns. Care is always personalized, and we’ll let you know whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.

Insurance and Payment

Many Canadians use extended health benefits for chiropractic services. Since every plan is different, it’s best to check with your provider for details like visit limits, annual maximums, and any documentation they may require. If you’re paying out of pocket, we can review fees and payment options with you before care begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is chiropractic care safe?

Chiropractic is a regulated health profession in Ontario. Care is generally considered low risk when it’s provided by a licensed chiropractor and tailored to the individual. Like any health care, it isn’t risk free, so we’ll review your history and explain potential benefits and risks before starting.

Do I need a referral?

In most cases, you don’t need a referral to book with a chiropractor. Some insurance plans may have their own requirements.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear something comfortable that you can move in easily. Athletic wear is great, and everyday clothes that allow movement also work well.

How long does the first visit take?

First visits are usually longer than follow-up ones. When you book, we’ll confirm the expected appointment length.

Will I receive treatment on my first visit?

Often, yes, when it’s appropriate. If we need more information first, we’ll explain why and what the next step will be.

How many visits will I need?

That depends on your goals, your history, and how your body responds. We’ll recommend a schedule and check in regularly so you’re never left guessing.

Does chiropractic care hurt?

Most people find care comfortable. Some experience mild soreness afterward, similar to how you might feel after trying a new workout. If you’re nervous, let us know, we can adapt techniques to suit you.

Ready to Book Your First Visit?

Your initial visit is a $85 charge, with X-ray charges ranging from $25 to $50, depending on how many are necessary. Every patient’s situation is different and charges made on the first visit may vary accordingly.
